Just Once More

NS Rajan

Wish I was with you once more, see your angel eyes once more

Feel your love for me once more, just once more oh just once more

In your lovely light brown eyes was my heaven glowing bright

I could see the serene skies, tender clouds and shining light

Wish I was with you once more, feel your love for me once more

You would look and I would kneel, in your heart you gave me room

Every smile would make me reel, make a million roses bloom

Wish I was with you once more, feel your love for me once more

Your warm love I surely miss, sweet caress each lonely night

You would blush at every kiss, close your eyes and hug me tight

Wish I was with you once more, feel your love for me once more

Your eyes so full of deep delight, thousand echoes and plaintive sighs

You my darling were morning light, my only love, and paradise

Wish I was with you once more, feel your love for me once more

Will I see a second spring; hold you in my arms again

Passion only you can bring, make me fall in love again

Wish I was with you once more, feel your love for me once more

Wish I was with you once more, just once more oh just once more

See your angel eyes once more, feel your love for me once more

(Waiting_L’attente:  This soulful picture was painted in 1902 by William Adolphe Bougeaureau, a renowned French academic painter, whose favourite was the renaissance master Raphael. Bougureau’s works were traditional and in the genre of Realism and Neoclassicism genre.)

( The above verse was the result of my attempt to pen lyrics for a friend who wished to set music to a new song. I still await to hear it, and am told that his guitar gently weeps too as he is busy at his day job. )

I truly envy your friend, Sir :-). I’m pretty certain you will hear the composition from him very soon!
